Ciné-Asie welcomes you to the 2nd edition of the AMÉRASIA FILM FESTIVAL in Montréal, March 3rd to 13, 2011.
Montréal is a city where diversity is present and appreciated. The proportion of Asian population in Canada is significant and so they have great influence in the national mosaic. With this respect, Ciné-Asie has launched AMÉRASIA to support and celebrate Asian films, Asian inspired films and Asian-Canadian films. This year, we are excited to announce our 22 feature films from over 10 countries and 5 convivial and informative seminars and events.
AmérAsia will open with an acclaimed Asian-Canadian film, ONE BIG HAPA FAMILY by Jeff Chiba Stearns and a panel discussion on "Blending generations – Did you say 'international marriage?" with invited guests from the public who are in mixed marriages.
